Care and Use Before first use, wash knives in warm soapy water and dry. After each use, wash knives carefully by hand with a mild washing up liquid. We do not recommend dishwashers as they may damage blade edges. Always rinse after washing and dry thoroughly to prevent food or water marks. Replace knives into storage block to keep them in the best possible condition. Stainless steel is not completely stain free, it can be susceptible to slight tarnishing when using foods containing acids, such as fruit. Ideally use with a wooden or nylon chopping board, as marble, glass and ceramic boards can, over a period of time, dull the blade. Sharpen the knife little and often to maintain sharpness. Before sharpening, wet the knife with oil for greater friction. Always wipe carefully after sharpening, as tiny pieces of steel may remain on the blade. Knife Block The knife block is the ideal place to store your knives safely and hygienically. Ensure each knife is stored in the correct slot to prevent damage to the tips. Make sure all knives are dry before placing into the block, to prevent mould growth. Wipe clean with a damp cloth only and ensure thoroughly dry before replacing knives. Do not place in a dishwasher. Stand in an airy position, away from direct sunlight and any heat sources to prevent drying out.
